Hi! Friends, I would like to share my experience with you about Salar Jung Museum. Salar Jung Museum, India’s oldest and 3rd largest museum and One of the Wonders of Hyderabad, which is the Indian most populous city of Andhra Pradesh. This museum houses biggest one-man collections of antiques of the world by Mir Yusuf Ali Khan Salar Jung III.
When I was in 10th standard, I’ve been to the “Salar Jung Museum”. At that time, you know, I was very enthusiastic and even now to share my experience with you. It is in semicircular shape, with 2 floors.

I’ve observed that there were totally, 20 galleries of in the ground-floor and 18 galleries in the first-floor. These galleries are of original collections. The exhibits on different topics were displayed in the separate galleries. Apart from this gallery, I’ve also seen a Reference Library, Reading Room, Chemical Conservation Lab, and Cafeteria and… many more.
Among the galleries, you can astonish by the Aurangzeb’s sword, the Chair of Tipp Sultan, Jewelries, art and furniture from Egypt, hmm many more.

Hey, out of all, my favorites are the Clock room, sculpture of Veiled Rebecca, and the stunning Paintings. Let me explain the specialty of each.

Sculpture of Veiled Rebecca: It is the world famous Italian Statue. When I stood in front of that, I felt like a girl, looking at me. It was a wonderful experience for me. When I had keenly observed, then I have known that; sad to say, it’s a statue. But, her beautiful face hazily visible through a marble but flimsy veil, every visitor may mistake it. I’m sure it will become a favorite pick for photographers.
Clock Room: Here, a variety of clocks welcome the visitors. When we stepped-into that place, all were eagerly waiting there. I wasn’t getting why? Suddenly a guide came and explains me that, it’s a musical clock, for every hour a timekeeper emerges from the upper deck of the clock to strike the gong as many times as it is the hour of the day. Then I was also doing the same thing as them.
Painting: These photogenic paintings originate from countries like England, Germany. I was really stunned by those paintings.
And many more are there to entertain you. This is the place, which you must visit in Hyderabad.
