A spectacular place with buttes, mesas and canyons glowing with marvelous multi shaded colors of auspicious red, pretty purple mixed with cotton-white, soothing gray, sky shaded dark blue and shining brown…… generally in dreams we could visit places like these. Isn’t it? But, it is absolutely possible for us to make our dream true. Once if you visit Painted Desert you will agree with me that it is a dreamland…

 Painted Desert is a designated wilderness area, located in Northeastern Arizona, United States. Our history says that it was found in the exploration of early Spaniards and they named the place as EI Desierto Pintado, meaning Painted Desert due to its dazzlingly decorated scenery. Painted Desert has been a popular stopping-off points for travellers through the glory days of Route 66. This natural beauty land is really the god’s gift. This consists of huge area of badlands that extends “Grand Canyon National Park” including “Petrified Forest National Park” that are best tourist attractions.

 It took millions upon millions time for the Mother Nature, to create this fantasyland. Indeed, if you visit this a very first time, you would think of that some one has painted with sparkling colors, but it isn’t. Due to creation of chemical compounds along with bright yellows and reds as the action of Iron Oxides made other colors in the Desert. The Desert is more scenic especially at sunlight, as it reflects on the buttes; we can experience the incredible beauty of the desert. If you take walk on that land, there are many nice things to explore such as petrified trees encrusted with colorful quartz jewels, even you can find the fossils of ancient creatures like Dinosaurs. Undoubtedly, it would be a dreamland for photographers, so get ready with your cameras.
