Golden Temple, when we listen to this, we might be thinking about Sikh’s Golden Temple at Amritsar. But, this Golden Temple was constructed in 100 acres land with a blooming landscape at Siripuram village, 6km away from the Vellore district, Tamil Nadu. Indeed we can say it is a competition to that Amritsar’s pride temple, with approximate cost of Rs.600crore.
Golden temple, Goddess Mahalakshmi temple, is an architectural wonder in gold. In this temple, even the central chandelier is in gold. It was built by hundreds of goldsmiths, craftsmen from Tirumala Tirupthi Devasthanam. This temple looks like “Tirumala Temple”, with 36 pillars and Rajagopuram.
The specialty of the Golden Temple is except that walking area, sculptures and entire structure has been plated with gold. And because of those lighting arrangements, the temple glitters more at nighttimes than at early morning. When you see especially at afternoon, it shines like a Sun. It will be a best photo for photographers.
We can observe some messages on either side of the pathways, not only from “Bagavad Gita”, but also from “Bible” and “Quran”, which might be admirable. And the pathways have been laid out in the shape of star, which is impressive. One more thing is that, this temple is surrounded by scenic beauty, mountains and lush and the entire structure was designed by “Amma”, who I believed o be avatar of goddess.
Visiting temples with peaceful environment and sound of chanting that makes our will peaceful, pulls us out from gloominess, refreshes our mind and we will be come back with a confidence that can shapes us to achieve anything.
