Many of us might be having a doubt that “why did this place only get place in the Wonders of the World why not other places?” Though we know that because of its specialty and glorious history it has honored but, we might be curious to know about its importance and history. Isn’t it? Well, now we are going to see the importance of Machu Picchu, one of the Wonders of the World.

Machu Picchu is a green paradise and an unimaginable archaeological site, meaning “Old Peak” in Quechua language. Machu Picchu is known as Lost city of Incas and the most famous symbols of the Incas Empire that is the most beautiful and puzzling pre-Columbian Inca site located 8,000feet above see level, which is situated on mountain ridge above the Urban Valley in Peru.

Till now no one has been able to solve the secrecy that how the builders and designers managed the transportation of the enormous blocks of limestone to the top of the mountain required for the construction of the city.

It is the great accomplishment of Incas architects hence undoubtedly it was a very big complex of forts probably, which built as a monument of divinity during the 15th century. The architects have designed in such a way that it surrounded by a strong outer wall with a height and width of 6.00m and 1.80m respectively. The inner and outer walls built by limestone and doors, fames by wood.

Machu Picchu was divided into four sectors. Northwest includes the area that was used for main religious purposes, that includes photographic places such as “Sacred Plaza”, “The Temple of Three Windows”, “The Sacred Temple”, “The Priests Mansion” and “Intihuatana”. Northeast of the Complex includes large residences.  The heart of all urban activities is the Southwest of the Complex includes most luxurious residences. Southeast of the Complex are located the smallest and most unassuming of buildings constructed mainly for architecture purposes. A sector used as a jail can be found inside the fortress. Another sector includes the residential area.

Tourists and Hikers say that climbing through the Inca Trial would be a magical experience. And you can have a glance at Funerary Hunt on temples, fields, and baths that will take you to another time.
