Eiffel Tower is the most famous landmark in Europe, is an Iron Tower built on the Champ De Mars beside the Seine River in peaceful Paris. The Eiffel Tower has become the global icon of France and also one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The Tower was built in 1889 for the reason of World exhibition held in celebration of French revolution in 1789. The Tower took 2 years to complete its construction. One man behind the construction of this great monument is Gustav Eiffel after whom the tower named.
If you have been to Paris, and then backed to your friends the first question they will ask you that “whether you see Eiffel Tower?” because it is the most famous monument of Paris and has been visiting by 5 million tourists every year.
The Tower is evergreen attraction of Paris which must visit. You could see its top from any place of Paris as it rises 320 meters and has 3 levels and was twice as high as the Washington monument.
Features of the Tower:
The First Level: It is 57 meter high and is the largest of all levels. It can be reached either by walking up the 360 steps or by taking lift. You can see the room for cafe, post office and a small museum called Cineiffel, where you can see the films showing the history of the Tower. This show also includes the recording of famous visitors to the Tower, from Charlie Chaplin to Adolf Hitler.
The Second Level: It is 115 meters high from where you can have a view of the Paris. It can be reached either by walking up the 340 steps or by taking lift. Here you can enjoy with the food and views of Jules Verne Restaurant.
The Third Level: It is 274 meters high which must reach through the lift. Reaching the top of the tower, I think really a wonderful experience. This level is famous for “viewing photographic Gallery” where we can capture the spectacular sites with a simple photo click. You can also see the Gustav Eiffel’s sitting room.
Lighting: The Eiffel Tower stands as the most spectacular night-time sight in Paris with the 292,000 watt illumination system.
Champ-De-Mars:

To keep protected from rusting, the tower is repainted for every 7 years which takes around 6 tons of paint to complete it. We couldn’t imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower and has become the symbol of the City of Light.
