Jakobshavn Isbrae is a large outlet glacier in West Greenland, draining 6.5 percent of Greenland’s ice sheet area. Jakobshavn Isbrae is also called as Jakobshavn Glacier or Sermeq Kujalleq. This is located near to the Greenlandic town and ends at the sea in the llulissat Ice fjord.

Scientists have discovered in recent years that it has gotten even faster. Jakobshavn Isbrae is a productive glacier that flows at a rate of 20-35 meters per day, ensuing in around 20 billion tones of icebergs calved off and fleeting out of Fjord every year. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greenland.
