Clock Tower is also known as Moor’s Clock Tower or St Mark’s Clock Tower, is one of the most famous architectural landmarks in the romantic and beautiful Venice.

The Tower and its great astronomical clock is a masterpiece of technology and engineering that form an essential part of the very image of Venice. At the very top of the tower we can observe two bronze figures, “The Moors” hence it was named as Moor’s Clock Tower. On the hour the figure rotates his arm and the bell carillons quite loudly. The tower is decorated with an especially lovely lion of St. Mark, on a background of blue and gold stars. The Clock Tower displays the time of day, the dominant sign of Zodiac, and the current phase of the moon for over 500 years, which is extraordinarily convoluted timepiece.
