Sasangir is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Gujarat, India. Sasangir National Park is a forest and wild life sanctuary. As the only place outside Africa to harbor Asiatic Lions, Gir forest is becoming famous.
The forest is a home to some 300 Asiatic lions. Asiatic Lions are attracting huge number of tourists every year. The sanctuary has a rugged terrain with steep rocky hillsides. We can only enjoy with the fantastic views of deer, sambar, chital, nilgai, chinkara, and variety of birds. Depending on the season, the forest is a home to few springs also.
Sasangir is the only place in the world where the lions can be seen in its natural habitat outside the African continent.
