Jantar Mantar is located in the modern city and the Heart of Delhi, India. It is built in 1724 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Jantar Mantar is mysterious, awe-springing salmon-colored stone-and-brick construction.
It is very interesting to view this structure. The Jantar Mantar is an observatory, actually used by the king for measuring the time and calculating the positions of the starts, sun, moon and planets for the prediction of eclipses. It houses multiple buildings with unique 13 architectural combinations of geometrical forms, each one meant for a specialized purpose astronomical measurement. This observatory is open daily from sunrise to sunset. There is no entry free. The Jantar Mantar can be easily accessible from all over the city. It attracts millions of tourists every year from all pockets of the globe.
