It is stretching about 8,851.8 kilometers (5,500 miles) from east to west of China. The wall was built of tone, wood, grass, and earth. It was built over more than two thousand years. It was built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from Mongolian attacks and other invaders during different successive periods. Construction on the first part began between the 7th and 6th century BC, and the final work on the wall made between the 14th and 17th centuries. The Royal Great wall was constructed with astuteness, devotion, sweat and tears.

Just like gargantuan dragon, the great wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains, and plateaus. It is a symbol of bravery, and wisdom of Chinese people.
