Indian Gate: The national monument of India which is constructed as a memorial, and was built in the memory of thousands of soldiers who has contributed their life to the loved Country during World War I.

It is famous as “one of the largest war memorials in India”, and as well as “All India War Memorial”. It is placed in the heart of New Delhi, standing at the height of 42 meters. The credit of designing and construction of the Indian Gate goes to Sir Edwin Lutyens, who designed the New Delhi City.

The place can be considered as a popular relaxation area during the summer evenings and a popular picnic spot during winter as well. Being located at the east end of Janpath, it leads to the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It can be easily accessible by the tourists. Amar Jyothi or Flame of the immortal warrior is another added memorial, which is burning under it since 1971. The flame reminds the sacrifice of the brave soldiers.

It surprises you with a variety of amusing activities. You can easily spent your day by simply having a glance at monkey performance, riding a camel, viewing the soap bubbles that blown all over the lawns of the Indian Gate, playing with balloons and many more. The place is crowded with the evening walkers, visitors in the evening times. You can even taste the various Indian fast foods, famous fruit chaat, bhelpuri, chana jor gharam, drinks, etc, etc.
